Paleo Gingerbread Latte

Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz milk of choice
  • 4 oz strongly brewed coffee
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp molasses
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch nutmeg

Method
 

  1. In a small sauce pan, heat milk with spices and sugars. Simmer on low until sugars are dissolved and milk is fragrant.
  2. While milk is simmering make coffee. You can also substitute 2 shots of espresso for the brewed coffee.
  3. Pour coffee into a 16oz mug.
  4. Using a milk frother or a small whisk, whisk the warm milk until frothy.
  5. Pour spiced milk into mug with coffee. Top with additional nutmeg or cinnamon if desired.
