I’m a food blogger, turned Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and crossfit coach, turned pregnancy & postpartum wellness expert and advocate. When I was pregnant with my first kiddo, like many of you, I turned to my OB-Gyn and Dr. Google for my prenatal and postpartum questions. And like many of you, relying solely on those resources left me feeling confused, overwhelmed, and like I couldn’t keep up with the pinterest perfect pregnancy and parenting expectations laid out in front of me. In one prenatal appointment, I was shamed by my doctor for simultaneously being too heavy and for not gaining enough weight. I felt like I couldn’t win, and I was destined to live in fear and confusion through my pregnancy. Like many mamas, my postpartum time was made more difficult as I struggled with the baby blues, while wading through the social media sea of “get your body back". I learned to call bullshit on the never-ending cycle of inadequacy and lean into my own worthiness for care. I’ve helped hundreds of moms and moms-to-be call BS on the unrealistic expectations laid before them, cultivate healthy relationships with food and fitness, and learn how to confidently navigate pregnancy and move through motherhood with ease.
