And it wasn't just the internet...Even at a prenatal appointment, I was shamed by my doctor for simultaneously being too heavy and for not gaining enough weight. I felt like I couldn’t win and fear and confusion may rule my pregnancy. This continued into early motherhood, as I struggled with baby blues while wading through the social media sea of “get your body back"
I knew something needed to change, so I learned to call bullshit on the never-ending cycle of inadequacy and lean into my own worthiness for care, transforming my fear and stress into an empowered motherhood experience.
