I'm a chocolate-loving nutritionist, pre & postnatal coach, doula and let's face it- total birth nerd 🤓. I'm here to help you cut through mommy-marketing and pinterest perfection to confidently cultivate a pregnancy and postpartum experience you totally love.
My second trimester is coming to a close and I’m starting to feel the fatigue return, which means workouts are shifting in intensity and naps are returning as a daily ritual. I’m also starting to realize the amount of energy it takes to keep up with a toddler. Our sweet baby girl just turned two and is a non-stop ball of energy.
A lot of this pregnancy has been a mindset workout— acknowledging that getting a traditional workout in is great, but also isn’t the end all be all. Sometimes I need to nap, sometimes I need to sit on the couch and watch Dawson’s creek and sometimes I need to do a shit ton of squats and then bear crawl race my two year old. I am not failing my body or my baby if during some weeks one of those activities wins out more than others.
This week was a good energy week for me and I enjoyed four pretty delightful workouts and a long (and very productive) morning of berry picking. My goals this week were to take at least two crossfit classes, mostly because that community connection is incredibly motivating and uplifting, and to move mindfully the rest of the week.

This was a lot of glute and core activation with some active shoulder and hip mobility. All the good stuff.
And when I said productive berry picking…I meant it. Edith and I picked about 23lbs of blueberries and blackberries in just under 2 hours.
