Looking for a last minute gift this holiday season? Try this homemade lip sugar scrub!
This homemade lip sugar scrub with a hint of peppermint feels luxurious, but is incredibly simple to make. It’s made with super moisturizing olive oil, coconut oil, honey, and exfoliating coconut sugar. I made this with coconut sugar because I like how gently it exfoliates. You can swap it for brown sugar or cane sugar if you prefer.
The recipe makes four 1oz scrubs, but you can gift in a 4oz jar and call it a full body scrub.
Peppermint Lip Scrub
Ingredients
3 tbsp coconut oil, at room temperature
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp olive oil
5 tsps coconut sugar
1/4 tsp peppermint extract
Instructions
In a small bowl, whisk together oils and honey until a thick and smooth texture is achieve.
Stir in coconut sugar and peppermint extract until fully incorporated.
Divide into four 1oz containers or gift as a large container.
Store in fridge until ready to gift. While all these ingredients are shelf stable, I would advise using within one month of making.
