As tempting as it may be to reach for that cocktail shaker or wine glass when the stress gets high, let me give you an alternative. This creamy orange adrenal cocktail (ahem, mock-tail) has no alcohol and tons of nutrients to help support your adrenals and immune system during the stress of the holidays.
It’s a win-win!
When we’re stressed, our adrenals release cortisol – also commonly known as the stress hormone. Cortisol is important for helping our body regulate really important functions like our metabolism and our immune response.
We want to make sure that we’re getting nutrients into our body that support our adrenal health – especially when we’re feeling overwhelmed or chronically stressed. That’s why we should skip over that alcohol and reach for something more nourishing.
This creamy orange adrenal cocktail features fresh-squeezed orange juice. Oranges are loaded down with vitamin C, B vitamins, potassium and vitamin A. The coconut or heavy cream (whichever you prefer) provides satiating healthy fats to help keep blood sugar and energy levels stable. And don’t forget the collagen peptides! Great for your skin and joints.
